ADMISSION PROCESS

Getting Started…

In order to provide prospective families with information about Solid Rock Christian Academy (SRCA), please follow these steps:

  1. Tour and Interview
Please contact the school to schedule a tour of the campus.  During the tour, prospective families will be able to see the campus, have questions answered, and discuss any remaining steps in the admission process.  During the interview, students and parents will have the opportunity to relate why they would like to join SRCA.  The interview team will discuss the Statements of Faith and Code of Conduct required by all admitted.
  2. Placement Testing
Placement testing may be scheduled on the day of the tour or at another date.  Placement testing takes 30-45 minutes.  This testing helps SRCA to identify which book and/or grade-level that the student should be placed in.  The Abeka Curriculum is an advanced curriculum and many incoming students have not been prepared for the advancement and rigor of the Abeka Curriculum.
  3. Application
Parents should complete an application either online or via paper.  There is a registration fee due with the application.
  4. Wait Pools
Each grade level has a set capacity for the maximum number of students due to space constraints and the value of small class sizes.  If the number of applications exceeds the number of available seats in class, then there will be a wait pool for all qualified applicants.

Wait pools are not prioritized waiting lists.  Instead, qualified applications for a grade are compiled, and should an opening become available, reviewed collectively by the admission team to select the most qualified and mission appropriate students.  SRCA reserves the right to place priority consideration for qualified applicants of staff and siblings.
